Chicago, IL: KrisDee & Associates, Inc. was named Regional Minority Manufacturing Firm of the Year at the 28th Annual Chicago Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week Celebration, held August 12-13, 2010 at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago. A competitive selection process evaluated all nominees based on the companies’ history of financial success, economic impact, and community leadership. All applicants were reviewed and scored by a panel of professionals.
Founded in 1982, KrisDee and Associates Inc., is a contract manufacturer of precision machined components and assemblies made from castings, forgings, extrusions and plate. KrisDee is a strategic supplier to several including: Aerospace, Automotive, Diesel Engine, Medical, and Telecommunications. Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week is hosted by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) on behalf of the Chicago Minority Enterprise Development Council. For over 28 years local and regional MED Week celebrations have been held throughout the country, culminating with the National MED Week conference and White House ceremony honoring the achievements and many contributions of minority entrepreneurs, individuals, and organizations that support minority business development. These conferences are the largest federally sponsored activities held on behalf of MBEs.
KrisDee and other nominees were honored at the 2010 Annual MED Week Awards Gala, held on Friday, August 13, 2010 at the Hyatt Regency Grand Ballroom. The Chicago MED Awards recognize the outstanding achievements of Minority Business Owners, and honor those corporations that support minority business development.
